On September 6, 2019, Nanjing Aotecar held a kick-off meeting for the implementation of the group-wide PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) project. Mr. Ding Tao, Chairman of the company, Mr. Zhou Jianguo, General Manager, as well as Mr. Qiu, Vice President of Siemens Greater China, and Mr. Zhu, General Manager of UDS, attended the kick-off ceremony.

PLM is an indispensable and crucial digital infrastructure for production management in modern manufacturing enterprises. It aids in achieving the goal of digital transformation of Aotecar’s R&D technology business, enhancing the level of five major management standards and the overall R&D capability of the company. The company has decided to purchase the PLM software system from Siemens and gradually promote its comprehensive deployment within the group. This conference marks the official launch of the project.
Ding Tao, the Chairman of the Company, and Zhou Jianguo, the General Manager, each delivered important speeches regarding this project. Mr. Ding first emphasized Aotecar’s determination to undergo digital transformation. After years of talent reserves and accumulation, it is a natural outcome for Aotecar to start deploying information systems such as PLM at this stage. As the company’s product chain improves, the complexity of its business is also increasing. Now, Aotecar has become a multi-industry chain company and is in a leading position in the domestic thermal management industry. The company’s future goal is to compete globally and become a global leader. Currently, Aotecar is in an important transformation period of research and development innovation. It is hoped that by leveraging advanced information platforms, Aotecar can enhance its research and development standard and specification system, laying a solid foundation for Aotecar’s transformation and take-off. At the same time, it is pointed out that Siemens is a globally leading PLM system manufacturer with rich industry experience, and it is believed that Siemens will definitely provide great help and experience sharing to Aotejia during the project process. It is hoped that the leaders of all business departments and all employees of the company can fully support this PLM project to ensure the successful implementation of the system.
President Zhou believes that the PLM system implemented this time, Team Center software, is an international product equipped with a set of advanced management concepts. Currently, Aotecar’s management system is not perfect, and there is still much that needs to be sorted out and optimized in the later stages. In this process, we must focus on adapting to local conditions and avoiding blindly copying. Instead, we should combine it with the existing actual business situation, and under the premise of ensuring efficiency and quality, build a research and development management platform with Chinese characteristics and Aotecar’s unique features.
Mr. Qiu, Vice President of Siemens Greater China, and Mr. Zhu, General Manager of UDS, who are the product providers, also delivered speeches respectively. They wished the AOTECAR PLM project a successful implementation, and emphasized that they would provide AOTECAR with the best resource allocation as an important guarantee for the successful delivery of the project. They also expressed their good wishes for establishing long-term cooperation with AOTECAR.
Chairman Ding Tao and General Manager Zhu of UDS, representing their respective companies, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony concluded successfully in a harmonious atmosphere.
