On May 5, Mr. Jeremy Bernard, Global Purchasing Director of Ford Motor Company, led a delegation to visit the Aotecar Morocco plant for an on-site inspection and in-depth discussions with the plant management team on topics including deepening strategic cooperation and business synergy.
During the symposium, Mr. Daniel Luca, Deputy General Manager of Aotecar Marketing Company, provided a comprehensive overview of the Morocco plant’s medium- to long-term capacity expansion plans, supporting infrastructure progress for the new plant facilities, multi-model simultaneous production adaptation capabilities, dedicated assurance mechanisms for cross-border bulk orders, and achievements in building a localized supply chain ecosystem. Adhering to the principles of mutual benefit and long-term commitment to the Mediterranean regional market, both parties engaged in thorough discussions on multiple core topics, including incremental cooperation under annual framework procurement, advance development and sourcing of components for new vehicle models, global centralized procurement resource sharing, and long-term strategic supply partnerships. The meeting also clarified subsequent collaborative processes and business implementation timelines.
This visit serves as both a strong affirmation by Ford Motor Company of Aotecar’s manufacturing capabilities and overseas delivery capacity at the Morocco facility, and a significant milestone in deepening high-level mutual trust, solidifying annual core cooperation, and expanding the boundaries of joint R&D and procurement between the two parties. Moving forward, Aotecar Morocco will leverage its strategic export advantages, established manufacturing systems, and ongoing infrastructure upgrades to seize opportunities in North Africa’s growing automotive industry. The plant is committed to efficiently implementing the consensus reached during the talks, deepening full-cycle partnership engagement, and working with Ford to build a more stable, efficient, and cost-effective supply system for automotive thermal management components and integrated systems, jointly expanding into incremental markets across Europe and the broader Mediterranean region.
